This statement also informs you of your data protection rights and obligations when using Ankama websites (the “Websites”), video games (the “Games”) and applications (the “Applications”) published by the Company for computers or mobile devices and that provide a link to this Privacy Policy.

 

The Websites, Games and Applications are collectively referred to as the "Services".

 

By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge having read this Privacy Policy and consent to it.

2.1.1 Data you provide us.

• Your username
• Messages you sent to the Service (such as discussion logs and support tickets)

• A Game-specific ID is assigned to you when you create your account.
• Your IP address and mobile device identifiers (such as your device ID, advertising ID, MAC address, IMEI)
• Data about your device, such as device name and operating system, browser type and language

• Data about your use of the Service, such as gameplay data and your interactions with other players inside the Service

2.1.3 Data we collect from our partners.

• Data to fight fraud (such as refund abuse in games or click fraud in advertising)
• Data from platforms that the games run on (such as to verify payment)

2.2 Why do we collect your data

2.2.1 To make the Service work

We use your data because it is necessary To perform the contract between you and Us in order to:

• Allow you to play our games
• Allow you to use our Service
• Verify and confirm payments
• Provide and deliver products and services you request

Apart from Achrony, your data can be accessed by others in the following situations:

2.3.1 Other players and users

Social features are a core component of our games. Other players and users may, for example, see your profile data, in-game activities and read the messages you have posted.

2.3.2 Partners working for Achrony

2.3.3 Other companies and public authorities

Our Service is global by nature and your data can therefore be transferred to anywhere in the world. Because different countries may have different data protection laws than your own country, we take steps to ensure adequate safeguards are in place to protect your data as explained in this Policy. Adequate safeguards that our partners may use include standard contractual clauses approved by EU Commission and the Privacy Shield certification in case of transfers to the USA.

You have the right to obtain confirmation that your personal data are or are not processed by Achrony and, when they are, to access the said data and information pertaining to their processing.

 

3.2 Portability right

You may when this is technically feasible, exercise your right to portability.

 

3.3 Rectification right

You have the right to obtain the rectification of your personal data that may be inexact or incomplete.

 

3.4 Erasure right

We store your personal data as long as it is needed for the purposes set forth in the present policy. If you no longer want Us to process your data, you may ask Us to erase them and close your Account. Please note, however, that even if you exercise this right, We may retain some data for the following purposes:

• We may retain some of your data to protect our legitimate interests, such as detecting and preventing fraud
• We may retain and use your data to comply with our legal obligations.

 

3.5 Right to restrict processing

You have the right to restrict processing of your data in limited circumstances:

• when you contest the accuracy of your data
• when processing is illicit and you request the restriction of their use instead of their erasure
• when We no longer need your data for processing but when you still need them to establish, exercise or defend rights in court
• when you are opposed to processing by virtue of Article 3.6, during the verification of whether Achrony’s legitimate motives prevail over yours.

3.6  Right to object

You may object, at any time and for reasons linked to your individual situation, to the processing of your data when this processing is based on a legitimate interest. If you exercise this right, We will no longer process your data, unless We can show that there are legitimate and imperative reasons for the processing that prevail over your interests, rights and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise or defense of rights in court.

Article 4 : Cookies and similar technologies

Like most online services, we and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to provide and personalize the Service, analyse use, target advertisements and prevent fraud. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the Service may then not function properly.

The Company takes every appropriate technical and organizational measure, given the nature of the data and the risks inherent in data processing, to preserve a high level of data security, and in particular, to prevent it from becoming distorted or damaged, or from being accessed by unauthorized third parties.
